1. Who we are
DugoutHub is a free online platform that connects travel softball and baseball families with teams, coaches, and sub opportunities. We are operated by an independent developer and can be reached at hello@getdugouthub.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account or use the platform:
- Your name and email address
- Your role (parent or coach/team)
- Athlete profile information: graduation year, positions, throwing/batting hand, bio, previous teams, and highlight links
- Team information: team name, sport, age group, level, location, and contact email
- Location data (city, ZIP code, and optional latitude/longitude for distance-based search — never precise real-time location)
- Messages sent through the in-app messaging system
- Profile photos and team logos you upload
We do not collect date of birth, Social Security numbers, payment card details, or any sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.
3. How we use your information
- To operate the platform — create and display profiles, enable search, and facilitate connections between families and teams
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- To improve and debug the platform
We do not sell your data. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not share your information with third parties except as described in Section 4.
4. Third parties
- Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider. Data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure in the United States.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Your requests are served through Vercel's network.
- Google — if you use “Sign in with Google,” Google shares your name and email with us to create your account.
5. Children's privacy
DugoutHub is designed for parents and legal guardians of youth athletes, and for adults (18+) involved in travel baseball and softball. We require all users to confirm they are either a parent/guardian of a youth athlete or at least 18 years old at signup.
Athlete profiles are created and managed by parents or guardians — not by the athletes themselves. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, please contact us at hello@getdugouthub.com and we will delete the account promptly.
6. Data retention and deletion
Your account and associated data are retained for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at hello@getdugouthub.com with the subject line “Delete my account.” We will process your request within 30 days.
7. Security
All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Access to the database is controlled by Supabase Row Level Security policies so users can only access data they are authorized to see.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or by a notice on the platform. Your continued use of DugoutHub after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
